Abram is such a little cutie! He is walking around and getting into everything! A few new tricks he has learned are
-clapping. He claps and claps and claps. Claps for himself, claps for others, claps for no reason at all.
-waving. He waves when you say "Hi" or "Bye". And a couple times he has even said "hi" or "bye" while waving, although I'm not convinced it wasn't by accident.
-climbing. He climbs everything. He knows how to get down backward off the bed/couch, but the scary thing is climbing onto the ottoman or coffee table. And then standing.
-he has started to notice stuffed animals, and now he loves them! Especially this little dancing and singing chihuahua that he got for an early Christmas present. With that in mind, he has also learned
-dancing. He wiggles, he bounces, he lifts his feet. It is the cutest.
I am a little late on my post, but he has hit two HUGE milestones this month that have been keeping me busy!
-To start, Abe is WALKING! And I mean full-on walking. No crawling. He can stand up on his own, with no chair or wall to pull up on. I would say his official walking without crawling age is 9 1/2 months.
-Abe said his first real word! Grandma Lesley taught it to him. He says "Uh-oh". And he says it in context, too. Like if he drops something, knocks over a toy, falls over, etc. He can say "Da-da" and "Ma-ma" too, but doesn't quite know who's who. When he is happy, we are both da-da. But when he is sad, he says ma-ma.
-He is almost walking on his own. He takes a few steps before falling.
-His absolute favorite thing to do is open and close the cabinets. He does that all day long.
-Abey still LOVES to take baths and showers. Now that he can sit up and catch himself when he falls, bathtime has become such a fun thing for him.
-Abram is very curious about the world around him. He loves to discover.
-Abram is constantly chatting.
-He gives high fives.
-He is a bruiser, but still loves to get kisses and hugs, and gives them back.
He has grown and learned so much in the last month! Here are the highlights:

-Abe can CRAWL!!! He still prefers scooting to get to places fast, but crawls all over the place too.
-Abe pulls himself up and walks around tables and couches like a CHAMP! He also knows how to cushion his fall and protect his head when he falls over. He'll be walking on his own soon!
-Abe has SEVEN teeth! He got his top two front teeth at the beginning of the month, and just got two more on top and one more on the bottom!
-Abe can hold his own bottle, and sleeps in his own crib. Yet he still wakes up and needs a bottle every few hours.
-Abe loves to scream. Yay for me.
-Abe loves Honey. Just like all the other grandkids.
-Abe is OBSESSED with Baby Einstein. That is the only thing he will watch on tv.
There wasn't anything to write home about, but I did get some great pics of Ceej and Abe. Check it.
He's getting so big, and changing so much!! Here are some things to mention:
-Abey can sit up by himself, and doesn't cry if he falls over
-Abey can scoot (as mentioned) and is sooo close to crawling!
-Abey lifts his arms up to be picked up
-Abey is eating more and more solid foods, and is really good at chewing, or gumming, his foods
-Abey has a new smile. He scrunches up his nose now, and it's so funny
-Abey is learning to give high fives
-Abey's hair is growing super slow (like his mommy's)
-Abey can go exactly where he wants to go in the walker
-Abey is such a happy guy! Everywhere we go people say he is so happy, and they are right!
And man is he huge! CJ took his measurements and looked up the percentiles on the internet, and this is what he found:
Height- 75th percentile
Weight-95th percentile
Head circumference- 90th percentile
He's a big guy! And now that he has those 2 teeth, we've started him on a few foods. So far this month, he eats the infant puffs that dissolve in his mouth. He also DEVOURS the biting biscuits. We have been giving him baby food at night for dinner, and he eats the whole can!
He still LOVES the pool! I've been taking him at least once a week, and he can dunk underwater without a fuss!
He walks forward in the walker, and can steer it toward wherever he is going. He also sits up almost unsupported, but falls over every once in a while.
Abram loves seeing other people besides CJ and I all the time! He is so friendly and will let anyone hold him. His favorite things to do are still clap his hands and have tubby time, which turned into sink-y time, but he still loves it. He loves moving himself around in the walker at Grandma and Honeys house. He can now hold his head up pretty well while on his belly, and he gets so excited when he sees himself in the mirror.
Every morning when he is ready to wake up he just starts cooing and it's like he is telling us to wake up. He like the pool, whether the water is warm or cold. He is starting to grow some hair, and it is coming in a dirty blonde/light brown/reddish-in-some-lights color. His eyes are bluer than ever! He loves to sit at the table with everyone at dinnertime. He loves going to his other grandmas house to play.
Abram is getting sooo big! He is so active and vocal! And he already has 2 teeth!!! They came just a few days apart. So we have been trying real food on him, and he LOVES it! We mostly have only tried bananas, and we put a piece of banana in this mesh thingy that keeps him from getting big chunks in his mouth so that he can't choke. He is lovin the 'nanas!! And now he can finally turn over from back to front and front to back. Took him a while, since he hated being on his belly, but now he is rolling all over. His favorite book is Baby Beluga and it is a sing-along. He gets the biggest smile whenever he hears the first words, and I love it! He loves sitting in the bumbo chair and it is really helping him learn to sit up on his own. He is the best and we love him soo much!!!
Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15651606513042403551noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3622630640116679774.post-28922875342644097582010-03-03T18:05:00.001-08:002010-03-03T18:15:14.415-08:00Photo ShootThe other week, my friend John Hanan came over to take some pictures of Abram with his fancy camera. It was really cold and windy outside, so for the most part Abe was crying in most of the pictures. John still managed to snap a few goodies. They are not edited, but still pretty good.

<img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5444595032891934130" style="DISPLAY: block; So really it could be any day now! We are SOOO ready for baby! Well I know my body is ready for him to be OUT!!! Currently I am uncomfortable all the time. Heartburn is the worst, followed by aches in my back and belly. I've gained 30 pounds. Yuck. My face is finally fat. Sleeping is difficult. Sitting is difficult. I think the reason I am still working is because standing is the most comfortable position. Well we've pretty much got the nursery ready and now are just impatiently awaiting the day we get to see our son. We've decided on Abram as the name. I can't wait to see what he looks like! I just hope he's healthy. I'm not at all worried about the labor part. I mean I know it will hurt but I'm just trying not to focus on that. So whenever you're ready little guy, we'll be here!Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15651606513042403551noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3622630640116679774.post-33440567464961539952009-11-02T22:06:00.000-08:002009-11-02T22:19:43.631-08:008 months. Well, 32 weeks. Which equals 8 months. But do you call it 8 months or 32 weeks? For people who don't know how to count by weeks (people who have never been pregnant) I tell them the months. But they also don't know that women are pregnant for 40 weeks, which is 10 months. This makes it very confusing for some.

Anywho, 8 months. Getting close! Still working, and feeling fine on my feet. Seem to only be gaining in the stomach-region, which is awesome! Kicks are still so funny to me, but now it's more fun to watch rather than feel, because I can see a foot move across my belly and I love it. I hate when the baby has hiccups. It feels more irritating than a kick does. I am loving the pregnancy attention, and it seems to be working out nicely at work, too. EVERYONE asks about baby, when are you due, boy or girl, typical questions. But since I have a due date of CHRISTMAS DAY, then EVERYONE has a story or a comment or something to say. This makes my customers feel as though they know me, and therefore makes my tips bigger (well, sometimes). Which I like. I've also had a couple people give me extra moola for baby! Pregnant waitress = JACKPOT!!!
Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15651606513042403551noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3622630640116679774.post-34506026187270175542009-10-16T23:06:00.000-07:002009-10-16T23:11:51.808-07:007 months.

I am actually 7 1/2 months now, but forgot to post this. Currently I am feeling great, a lot different than a month ago. My morning sickness actually slowed down right around the time of the wedding, so I got lucky. My dad asked me a couple months ago how I liked being pregnant. At the time I lied and said I liked it. But my actual feelings about pregnancy a couple months ago were that I hated it! I hated being sick, hated peeing every 5 seconds, hated hated hated it. Now I am feeling better, and actually have started to show, so it's not so bad. We found out we are having a boy, and we couldn't be happier! CJ and I both wanted a boy first, so we are stoked to find out our wish came true. It's been fun shopping for baby, which I am now obsessed with. CJ even got into a crazy baby shopping mood the other day, and I totally took advantage of it! I haven't had any weird cravings, but I definately want sweets all the time. I eat fruit, candy and popsicles like it's my job. We haven't decided on a name yet, we have one we like, but won't make it final yet. We've still got time.Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15651606513042403551noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3622630640116679774.post-76173698871845351592009-07-31T00:13:00.001-07:002009-07-31T01:45:12.515-07:00Mr. and Mrs.We're married!!!! CJ and I tied the knot on July 25, 2009. Our wedding was perfect! Thank you sooo much to everyone that helped out and made our day so special! Our photographer was amazing! She has a sneak peek of the pics on her website http://www.brookeashleyphotography.com/. Go to the blog page. I'm so excited to see the rest!

Anyways, we went on a little mini-moon afterwards, really just took the scenic route back to Eugene from Vegas. First we drove down to San Diego and stayed at my parents house for the night, just to save on hotels and get into Cali. Then we drove to Santa Barbara, and stayed at the cutest hotel I have ever seen! It's called the Hotel Oceano. It was seriously so cute! Here are a few pics:

Us in the courtyard

CJ relaxing in the cute room

We shopped around these cute boutique shops, went to the best Italian restaurant for dinner, then before we headed out the next day we biked around for a bit.

So then we drove to San Francisco. When I was at my dad's booking the hotels for the trip, I was under the impression that the Radisson was a nice hotel. I was totally wrong. When we walked into our room it smelled like urine or mildew or something disgusting. Didn't even have a mini fridge or anything like that. Not that I care about all the crap they want you to buy, but for what we paid I imagined it would be a lot nicer. It said that it was the only hotel actually on Fisherman's Wharf, which it was, but none of the rooms actually had a view of the wharf, or the ocean. Our room had a view of the Holiday Inn across the street. Oh, and on top of the room charge, we had to pay an additional $37.00 to park our car! So we had planned on going to a baseball game, but apparently San Fran is foggy and freezing this time of year, and I didn't have a sweatshirt, so we didn't go. We went to a restaurant to eat crab instead, knowing that crab has always made us happy. Well not this time. They cooked the outside of the crab in a buttery, more like greasy sauce that made it too hot to touch. The clam chowder didn't have a hint of clam flavor, just potato. So we went to bed grumpy.

The next day we decided to go to China Town, which was a lot more fun. We also hiked up 3 blocks of Lombard Street. That is the street that is famous for being super steep. So steep that cars have to drive down it at an angle. Here are a few pics from that:

Victory!!!

In the end it was the best week of my life! People say your wedding day should be the happiest day of your life, and mine totally was. It rained that day, which did turn out to be good luck! It was so great to spend so much time with my girlfriends and new family. Plus we topped it off with a fun little trip and we didn't want it to end! We are sad to be home, but excited to be married!!!
Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15651606513042403551noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3622630640116679774.post-40793459492754556892009-05-22T09:02:00.000-07:002009-05-22T09:16:55.929-07:00Please, after you.Our old house was so awesome and we miss it. I've posted pictures of the deer and the wild turkeys right in our backyard. But our new house is pretty awesome too. Everyday on the freeway entrance and exit, there are dozens of geese and their geslings or goslings or whatever you call baby geese. They usually wait their turn to cross the street and it is so cute! Well this time their was a traffic jam because they were ALL crossing at the same time. The picture is crappy because it is through my dirty window, but still cute to see.

Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15651606513042403551noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3622630640116679774.post-77438075866617861392009-05-20T13:52:00.000-07:002009-05-20T14:31:15.899-07:00BIG news!!!So my life with CJ has just taken a HUGE leap forward! About 3 weeks ago we found out we are PREGNANT!!! It's too early for an ultrasound to get an exact due date, but if the calculations are correct, I'm due to give birth on December 25th- or what is more commonly known as Christmas. That put's me at about 8 1/2 weeks. And yes I have morning sickness, well morning sickness, afternoon sickness, night sickness... you know how it is. We are both so excited! CJ and I both want a boy first, but lately he has been getting the feeling that it is a GIRL. Whatever it is, baby doesn't like orange juice or many meats (that is what comes up the most).

So in other life changing news, we have decided to move our wedding UP now to this July 25th. I know, I know, we've changed the date 3 times now, but this one is for sure staying. Originally when we found out we were pregnant we wanted to have the wedding after the baby was born, but we got some good advice that life is not going to get any easier than it is right now, and that we may not ever find the time to have a wedding after the baby is born. So we decided to move it up to just before I start showing (hopefully, because my dress has no room for a bump!) So now I am totally stressed about planning an out-of-state wedding in 2 months, but I'm thankful to have the help of my future mother-in-law that knows way more about wedding than I do! So thanks Lori!Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15651606513042403551noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3622630640116679774.post-25623964870502638912009-05-20T13:42:00.001-07:002009-05-20T13:52:10.235-07:00Easter eggsThis should've been posted a while ago, but we have been moving/packing/unpacking so I finally could post some pictures. CJ and I decorated eggs this year. His turned out very cool (the first two pics are his front and back) and mine was ok. Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15651606513042403551noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3622630640116679774.post-84303577195283550382009-04-26T20:16:00.000-07:002009-04-26T20:17:51.335-07:00We Moved! We moved into a new place this past week. Still in Eugene, but closer to CJ's work. It's a nice little place! We FINALLY have a couch, and an extra bed so that people can COME VISIT!!Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15651606513042403551noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3622630640116679774.post-52238053402345553062009-03-05T12:45:00.000-08:002009-03-05T12:53:04.496-08:00My "special" boySo living up here alone has made CJ and I so much closer. It has also driven us a little insane. When we are together watching tv (which is most of the time) we always get so weird! We have silly little inside jokes, which now have become the only dialect we use to communicate with one another. So last night we were lounging and watching some tv, when CJ goes under the covers and starts making these really weird whale noises. Then he pops his head out and says "I'm a whale!" He reminded me of a 4 year old, and I could not stop laughing. He's awesome.Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15651606513042403551noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3622630640116679774.post-91990758990566192162009-03-05T12:32:00.000-08:002009-03-05T12:41:08.925-08:00Postponed.So it's getting to that time where we should have A LOT of planning for this October wedding already done. We don't even have a reception site, haven't sent out save-the-dates, and I have only been dress shopping once-4 months ago. So we have decided to postpone the wedding date until next spring. I think this is a good decision, because now we can relax a little and figure out where we are even going to be living. Which brings me to our next postponement-moving back to Vegas. We have also been stressing about whether or not we can afford to be moving around and also saving for a honeymoon. So for now our plan is to postpone the wedding and move into a smaller place in Eugene. We are excited to see what the summer is like here! That's why we moved away from Vegas in the first place. And now that the wedding is later, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Aaahhh...Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15651606513042403551noreply@blogger.com0
